Kirsty Harris
Kirsty Harris is an award-winning opera producer with extensive experience in everything from small-scale touring and outreach work to large-scale mainstage production. Kirsty works in television, film, contemporary music production, theatre, opera and live broadcast. Kirsty has produced a range of performances from an intimate site-specific dramatised tour of Schumann songs to a deferred broadcast of the UK premiere of Dead Man Walking. Major talents Kirsty has worked with include Peter Sellars, Anna Meredith, Steve Reich, Laurent Pelly, Annilese Miskimmon, Stefan Herheim, Oliver Mears, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Netia Jones, the London Symphony Orchestra, Jonas Kaufmann and Britten Sinfonia. Kirsty has worked extensively with the British Broadcasting Corporation and is a production manager in the Concert Hall of the Barbican Centre.
Kirsty Harris is also a dramaturg with a particular interest in opera commissions. Whether in the theatre world, in site-specific shows, or with dance, Kirsty enjoys working across diverse musical styles and formats, searching for cross-pollination and evolution of different production techniques and practices.
